I have used FireShot for ages but only now realise how insidious this company is. I have a new laptop and am installing software from scratch. One of the reasons for not porting over stuff from my old machine is that there was unwanted junk that I wanted to rid myself of; particularly annoying pop-up ads. I now realise that FireShot is responsible for these! I paid money for FireShot and DO NOT EXPECT this crap for software I pay for. Please change this policy or expect a loud, viral and commercially damaging response. Why even resort to this underhand behaviour with such a great product? It will be the end of you. Premium priced software MUST be clean. That is the first rule of the internet. |

My friend,
Before you start accusing FireShot, please make sure you've got good facts. Only very old versions of FireShot for IE (2 years old) included advertisements from SuperFish which could be opted out by one click. Now let's return to your problem. Can you tell me please: - what version of FireShot are you using? - what browser? - what ads do you see? - from where did you get FireShot? I'm aware with the cases when FireShot for Firefox is re-packed and some ad scripts are included. The only receipt for this case is always download FireShot from trusted sources (https://getfireshot.com, AMO, Chrome Web Store). __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Latest version for latest Firefox from getfireshot processed through Avangate:
(Your payment for your online order placed on https://www.screenshot-program.com on 2015-04-27 01:31:11 has been approved (order reference number: 38467467). ) Window 7 I have now blocked ads using a pop-up blocker. What I would like from you now is a categorical statement (not anonymous please) that it has nothing to do with Fireshot. Please detail what Fireshot will do if I can prove technically that it is. Over to you. |

Thank you for purchasing FireShot Pro!
NO ADS IN FIRESHOT - this is a statement from developer (me). NO VIRUSES - this is a statement from VirusTotal (https://bit.ly/1dkCHMg) I'm argee with you: putting ads into the project which provides monetization using the premium version is stupid like shooting your own leg. P.S. If you find a real cause of this problem, please put the info here. This will be the best proof of my words. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!
