FireShot screenshot extension API unable to enable

Plugin version: 0.98.96
OS: Windows 10, Dutch
Browser: Firefox 65.0.2 64 bits

When I go to Fireshot settings and check API and apply, I get a notification that the API is not turned on. Trying save and exit (as to check whether the problem is solely in the apply button) doesn't work either. It does however work in Google Chrome, but it's essential to get it to work in Firefox.

I look forward to finding out if a fix for this problem exists

Hello and thank you for your research. The usage of both browser. and chrome. APIs is allowed in Firefox. The difference is that the browser. API uses promises, whereas the chrome. one is using callbacks. By the way, I couldn't find any problem with the API both in Chrome and Firefox. If there's an opportunity to dive into this problem in TeamViewer - I'll be happy to assist you in solving this issue.

Hello and thank you for pointing at this problem. There was an update to Firefox, which made the current permissions request model useless - we're going to release a fix to this problem within a week or two. I'm really sorry for such an issue - browsers get major updates, and it's all about security. Unfortunately for the developers, they have less and less flexibility for development.
