Hi there,
I gladly utilise firefox's built-in screenshots. I access this via the browsers web console when working in RDM (Responsive Design Mode) (access by pressing Shift-Ctrl-M), then setting DPR to 2, then taking a screenshot. (Can also be done by typing ':screenshot --dpr 2' (no hyphens of course) from firefox's web console (can also be accessed by Shift-Ctrl-K) If you google device pixel ratio you'll get an idea of what this is all about, but effectively it doubles the screen resolution, for much clear screenshots, especially for text. Firefox's built in screenshot tool seems to max out with desktop areas around 3000 x 3000 (in RDM you can set any virtual desktop area up to 9999 x 9999) , and when doubled, this gives the PNG a resolution of 6000 x 6000. More importantly, having --dpr 2 gives clearer text as opposed to a 6000 x 6000 screenshot at a DPR of 1. Does fireshot have the ability to output DPR 2 or 'retina' images? I can't seem to do it. Can't see there's any other tool that can do this either. This site is also useful in loading high resolutions that you native screen https://www.infobyip.com/testwebsiteresolution.php Kind regards, Jon |
