How to disable 'New' toolbar icon overlay and opening of page on click

Is there a way to:
* Disable the 'New' toolbar icon overlay (less critical)
* Stop a new page from opening when the 'New' toolbar icon is clicked

Use Cases:
On a share screen call with a client, with the client sharing their screen: This creates a delay in being able to capture a screen shot. Yes, I can use a hot key. No, I should not have to.

On a share screen call with a client, where I am sharing a screen with the client: Client sees the FireShot screen open (unprofessional at best), and it interrupts the flow of the conversation.

Accepted Answer

Normally we issue updates once/twice a month, so you do not see these notifications quite often. Or, do you want to report a bug with the notification being shown every day?

Hello and thank you for your update. We will include an option to suppress the 'New' notification for all Pro users.
