Cannot create .ini file??

Pages: 1

I downloaded the free version, to test before I consider Pro.
I use Vista Home Premium with IE7
Each time I click Fireshot, it gives a message: cannot create .ini file.
After hitting OK a couple of times, it finally comes up but when I try to save it, it states that it cannot write the file (no reason given) and states it will put it in the temp folder...
I have not made any modifications to Vista and ran the installation as Administrator (right click, run as..)

Any idea why I get these errors / problems??
Thanks in advance!

It should show the path and filename which cannot be created. Can you post them? Thank you.

Cannot create:
C:\Program Files\FireShot for IE\fs_ie_settings.ini

As described, clicking on the OK several times, gives me the option to save.. I save it to the desktop and then a message: Cannot write to destination folder... And it tells me it will write in the temp folder...

Ah, I suspect the reason. You should have the permissions to be able to write to the folder C:\Program Files\FireShot for IE (If you don't have such permissions, please install FireShot to the one of your folders with required permissions)

The same thing with other folders.

Here's the thing.. How to do it?
I just got this machine with Vista and am not too known with it yet... Should simply installing the program not work (like all other programs)?
Also:
Could it be the UAC  (user account control) that's blocking it?  I have not tried to disable that one..

Ok, first uninstall FireShot, then simply create the folder C:\FireShot and perform the installation into that folder. Ini files should be working just fine.
