I downloaded the free version, to test before I consider Pro.
I use Vista Home Premium with IE7 Each time I click Fireshot, it gives a message: cannot create .ini file. After hitting OK a couple of times, it finally comes up but when I try to save it, it states that it cannot write the file (no reason given) and states it will put it in the temp folder... I have not made any modifications to Vista and ran the installation as Administrator (right click, run as..) Any idea why I get these errors / problems?? Thanks in advance! |

It should show the path and filename which cannot be created. Can you post them? Thank you. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Cannot create:
C:\Program Files\FireShot for IE\fs_ie_settings.ini As described, clicking on the OK several times, gives me the option to save.. I save it to the desktop and then a message: Cannot write to destination folder... And it tells me it will write in the temp folder... |

Ah, I suspect the reason. You should have the permissions to be able to write to the folder C:\Program Files\FireShot for IE (If you don't have such permissions, please install FireShot to the one of your folders with required permissions)
The same thing with other folders. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Here's the thing.. How to do it?
I just got this machine with Vista and am not too known with it yet... Should simply installing the program not work (like all other programs)? Also: Could it be the UAC (user account control) that's blocking it? I have not tried to disable that one.. |

Ok, first uninstall FireShot, then simply create the folder C:\FireShot and perform the installation into that folder. Ini files should be working just fine. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!
