Thanks. I checked this in Chrome - it works fine. Do you have any toolbars/addons installed on your browser? This strip seems to be a trace from some element being displayed over the main content.

Is this an issue on my side ? Is it Fire Shot ? Is there a fix or workaround ?

I don't want to annoy anyone who is busy trying to solve this, but the silence is getting me worried. Should I start looking for other software ?

Hi Marten. I'm sorry for the delay. I checked the file you provided. I think, that these grey lines are just page breaks (when PDF consists of more than one page).

What viewer are you using? Can you please open PDF in another viewer to check that?

Hi JK,

I had a system crash so needed to do a fresh Win10 install.

Instead of installing Adobe Reader I installed FoxIt reader. I also re installed FS Pro (currently using the trial version untill I find my register key)

Just went to foxnews.com and made entire page screenshot and saved it as pdf.

This is the result:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/f7yns19ipt9bn7t/8-PDF.pdf?dl=0

When I open it in Foxit Reader I see these grey lines:
https://s18.postimg.org/ofjpiavx5/Capture.png

Then I tried following:
Uninstall Foxit, so no dedicated pdf reader at all on system
Open pdf in Edge = Same result
Open pdf in latest IE = Same result
Open pdf in latest Opera = Same result
Install Adobe Reader v11
Open pdf in Adobe = Same result

They all could very well be page breaks. But how to get rid of them.

They are page breaks. FireShot splits web pages automatically. If you do not want FireShot to split web pages, please select "Capture entire page and Edit", then save to PDF from the Editor. FireShot will ask you, whether you would like to have multi-page PDF file, or not.

Thanks a lot for this workaround, I just tested it and it works.
Although I must say I am kind of surprised it took the team 3 weeks to find out this is an intended feature of Fire Shot.

I find this workaround kind of annoying changes fire shot from a quick and handy tool to something less. This is a screenshot so  when a screenshot has no page brakes the pdf should not have any.

Can't you remove these grey lines and in case some people want them make it an option that is OFF by default so people can save an actual screenshot without using the editor ?

Ok, just to mention that again: these grey lines are not drawn by FireShot. FireShot just creates a multi-page PDF file. The space between the pages in PDF is drawn by viewers differently. In your case, you see these grey lines. In my case, page breaks are drawn clearly as page breaks.

P.S. Yes, we'll introduce the PDF "save dialog" in one of the next releases to address this problem.

Hi,

Even the most fanout pdf reader from adobe shows the grey lines.

I do not wish any page breaks, because fire shot even cuts images in half to create these breaks.

Is there a way to stop fire shot creating these page breaks by default ?

Marten, there's no way to disable these page breaks due to the memory problem with PDF files having big picture inside. This feature needs additional research.

Just to say, Marten you are not on your own.
I've also been having issues with screen capturing the whole page.
I have put a link of what I am seeing with my PNGs.

Pretty sure this isn't a page break!

I agree with Marten... there needs to be some way of atleast keeping FireShot from splitting images in have. How does it decide page length? Does the editor have a way of setting where the pages or split? I like the program but not happy with the PDF aspect of it.
