Before I went Pro this extension captured entire (long) pages and when printing Chrome's normal preview spanned this long image over several pages, as it would normally do if your were normally printing using CTRL+P.
Can I get Pro to print out entire long webpages spanning more than one printed out page? Or must I downgrade back to Standard FireShot and How can I do this? I do not need most of the functionality of either the Standard or Pro versions. I just want to print any webpage as it shows in the browser on the monitor, spanned over several pages if it is long, showing the URL, date, page number, page title etc just as if it were printing regularly (CTRL+P) - though often when printing regularly many elements are not printed out or the page is scrambled in ways it is not on the screen. When printing a webpage (screencapture+print) in Standard FireShot or Nimbus, instead of the URL it shows something like this: chromeextension:// mcbpblocgmgfnpjjppndjkmgjaogfceg/fsCaptured.html But what I need it to show is the URL like: https://www.plasticpipeshop.co.uk/32mm-x-25m-Length-Clear-PVC-Pipe-OD-32mm-avbore-284mm_p_1618.html + Date + Page Number + Webpage Title FireShot 0.98.85, Windows 7, Chrome 51.0.2704.103 m |

*What I need*:
YES: Hotkey like CTRL+P YES: Prints out webpage as I see it on monitor YES: Print out Spanned across several pages if long YES: Prints URL YES: Prints Date YES: Prints Page/Total Pages YES: Prints Webpage Title YES: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature NO: More features *Nimbus*: YES: Hotkey like CTRL+P YES: Prints out webpage as I see it on monitor YES: Print out Spanned accross several pages if long NO: Prints URL (Nimbus tell me they will upgrade their extension to print out URLs "soon".) YES: Prints Date YES: Prints Page/Total Pages NO: Prints Webpage Title YES: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature YES: More (excess) features *Fireshot (Standard)*: YES: Hotkey like CTRL+P YES: Prints out webpage as I see it on monitor YES: Print out Spanned across several pages if long NO: Prints URL YES: Prints Date YES: Prints Page/Total Pages NO: Prints Webpage Title YES: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature YES: More (excess) features *Fireshot Pro (free for 30 days)*: YES: Hotkey like CTRL+P YES: Prints out webpage as I see it on monitor NO: Print out Spanned across several pages if long NO: Prints URL NO: Prints Date NO: Prints Page/Total Pages NO: Prints Webpage Title NO: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature YES: More (excess) features Fireshot Pro works by installing a Helper.exe instead of using some Netscape API??? This seems to cause it to bypass the Chrome Print Preview and use its far less well spec'ed printing interface that can't span the image over more than 1 page etc, etc I have asked Nimbus and Fireshot if they can help me achieve what I need. Nimbus has said they will upgrade their extension "soon". I am waiting on an answer from Fireshot - but either way they are far more complex than I need. I need an extension that apes CTRL+P as close as humanly possible, with the only difference being that it must be WYSIWYG (print out exactly the same way it shows on the screen - "What You See Is What You Get") I would prefer it if Chrome did this natively. I can't understand why the image on the printer is so often so different to the screen. |

Hi agoff2575 and thank you for your explanation!
I wish I could use the Netscape API. Google has stopped its support, so the only way to introduce the advanced FireShot's functionality is to use the Native Client API. According to your request, the most of your requirements are available through the "Print" dialog in FireShot Pro: *Fireshot Pro (free for 30 days)*: YES: Hotkey like CTRL+P YES: Prints out webpage as I see it on monitor NO: Print out Spanned across several pages if long [YES] NO: Prints URL [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Prints Date [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Prints Page/Total Pages [NO] NO: Prints Webpage Title [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature [FireShot has a preview window] __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

I am a bit puzzled. I cannot find these features. Can you post a screenshot showing the "Print" dialogue box showing these features:
NO: Print out Spanned across several pages if long [YES] NO: Prints URL [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Prints Date [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Prints Page/Total Pages [NO] NO: Prints Webpage Title [Yes, configured by the "Header/Footer feature"] NO: Uses Chrome's Print Preview feature [FireShot has a preview window] Thanks |
