Hi
FireShot has just upgraded but now when I take a capture the screen darkens, I take the capture, and the image is darker than it should be, and the screen comes back still dark with the crosshair sill active until I click it again. It didn't do this before, is it a new bug or do I need to reset something? I can still capture but the image I get is dim, not bright like it used to be. This is happening on all pages not just one page I have FireShot set to Capture selection/elements and save I am using v. 0.98.99 (not pro) Firefox 47.0.1 Windows 10, 64 bit, English If I put the settings to Capture entire page and save, it seems to work fine. I just tried again and now when I scroll down and select the area I want to capture and the screen darkens, nothing else happens, so it's not capturing anything in that mode now. |

Thanks, I need some more testing for the new build to make sure it solves this issue. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

HI
I tried it again this morning, 24 hours later, and it's fine now! Perhaps it just needed a PC reboot? |

Hi, it's same prob for me. Reboots, etc. won't help. And after a few (dark) shots Fireshot disables completely and says it can't access sss.dll and suggests to turn off antivir. Tried that too but still the same prob.
I have Firefox and this problem occured after Firefox updated to 48.0.1 in the start of the week. The previous Fireshot wasn't compatible with updated Firefox and Fireshot autoupdated itself to the latest version, which obviously doesn't work (in the latest Firefox version). This is the same prob for all Firefox users what I've heard - at least in Win10 64bit Home. |

Actually, I just tried it again and got the original problem back, so it worked on one site/page but not on another. Still stays dark during capture and afterwards until I click the crosshair again. Then I have to go and 'auto levels' the image in another programme to lighten it. |

Same for me. Except that after a few shots, Fireshot disables completely because of this sss.dll. Me got the latest Fireshot version, too. I.e. 0.98.88. |

This is the error I get. Taken with Windows Ink, which is ok, but not even close as good as Fireshot.

I'm also having the problem of the screen becoming dark grey when I try to take a 'fireshot'. Also when I'm using 'capture selection' it doesn't capture the entire selection, it only captures what is visible when I click save. |

It seems to work fine now, will see how it goes over the next couple of days as it was fine the other day and then not the next. I love the way the capture size is at the bottom now, much easier for when you're dragging down and wanting a specific size. Thank you! |

I still get that dll prob... And what is strange is that the first fireshot snap always succeeds and everything goes ok (also no dim page prob anymore). But then when taking the second snap the dll-prob occurs. This in latest Firefox.
What I also tried was to do a "clean" reinstall of Fireshot. I.e. so that after removing the plugin I also removed all the fireshot entries from prefs.js file in Firefox profiles folder by hand (because Firefox don't remove them when you uninstall a plugin, you need to remove them by hand if you want to get rid of them). Somebody on some board also said he's got this dll problem. But don't remember which board it was... |

Miksu, can you check whether you're using the 64-bit version of Firefox? __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Yep, this is 64bit browser and as I heard in the other topic I opened, this is probably the reason for the error... |

Yes, this is the reason. However, you can install an additional 32-bit version for taking screenshots. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

I have just used it again after a couple of days' break and the first two were fine, then it stopped working all together. The page I was trying to capture had a lot of Flash video screen on it, would this have something to do with it? I can click the FireShot button button and change the settings but nothing works now. (Not even on new pages without any Flash screens.)
This is in Firefox 84.0.2 still, it was all fine before the last upgrade so I don't know what's going wrong! Is it worth taking it off and putting it back on again do you think? I have FireShot set to Capture selection/elements and save I am using v. 0.98.99 (not pro) Firefox 47.0.1 Windows 10, 64 bit, English |

I had that same thing with 64-bit Firefox version so that it stucked sooner or later. But now "downgraded" to 32-bit version as for real it doesn't really matter whether 32 or 64. Anyways, now everything works fine for me. |
