select and crop fails

hi,

We have registered to pro version and we found a severe issue for which we cannot use the program further.

selection tool does not work correctly. after defining a selection rectangle (second corner and after mouse up event) the entire selection moves to right starting on the right side of where selection was defined (in other terms X2 becomes X1 and X2 is several thousands of pixels wide). even if the selection is dragged and resized afterward the crop tool does not work: it crops unexpected regions from capture.

I have tested this in several pages. with captures on visible or entire page.

steps.

- capture page
- choose select button
- define x1y1
- define x2y2
- at mouse up event selection moves and starts where x2 should be and stretches at least 1400 pixels
- intended area for selection is out of selection!!!

- drag area to force selection
- push crop button
- crop fails rendering totally unexpected areas in capture

I have installed version 0.57 of pluggin on firefox 3.0.1
windows xp professional, english

Any solution would be welcomed (it is kind of an urgent matter otherwise we have to resume using this software (which worked perfectly until purchase and registration!!!)).

Any specific details of your PC configuration (two desktops, etc) will be appreciated. What's happening if you collapse left panel?

Hi again, I just discovered that shape tool behaves similarly as selection tool. We cannot use the program at all. correction: selection or shape rectangle has not only 1400px but many thousands of pixels. I have tested it on a second computer (FF3, Winxp professional, German). It behaves exactly the same!!! so it is not settings in computer. I have the feeling that the message here is not read. there are only 4 views and all increments come with my visit to posting. Is this website obsolete? It is a pity because in demo mode worked flawlessly. all the best, Adorian

Hi, I am a bit confused now!!! I have purchased a license of Fireshot Pro, but the registered version does not work (has symptoms presented above in the two messages)! If I use a demo then it works. So all discussion above applies only to registered mode. Any hints on how to move on? All the best, adorian

Hi, I think I have specified the OS. FF301 WinXP Professional English notebook - travelmate 4100 acer (worked in demo, fails in registered) FF301 WinXP Professional German notebook Amilo FujitsuSiemens (worked in demo, fails in registered, used for testing if this issue is machine related) FF301 Vista desktop (works in demo, I will try to switch to registered mode to see if fails here too) I do not think you actually need any info on RAM and HDD but I can say they are enough to handle all software ranging from simple office software to complex graphics and GIS. all use v. 057 of fireshot pro no. collapsing left panel does not improve the behavior (I've already tested it). It seems that it has to do something with registration or protection of registration (?). so for all tools (select, shapes, crop) rectangles move x1y1 corner to where x2y1 suppose to be.
