Screen capture chrome extension Error after newest update

Question

Apparently FS was updated again and now I can't use it. It always goes back to the free version, but I can't put in my license. I'm trying to install, but it gives me this error:

There was a problem during FireShot maintenance:

Error copying native host to:
"C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\FireShot\fireshot-chrome-plugin.exe"

I'm using Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106
I can't tell what version of FireShot I have now since I can't access it.

Hello, I'm sorry for this issue - can you tell me, what kind of installer are you using: the one available from the FireShot's menu, or the installer from this link: https://getfireshot.com/fireshot-install.exe ?

it's located in the %appdata%\FireShot folder. Simple file search can locate it too.

Thank you for the logs. According to them, I see 2 different versions of FireShot, the 0.98.95 (latest), and previous one. Both addons should have the 0.98.95 version.

Locate all versions of FireShot on your PC. You can find all profiles by performing a global search for the file fireshot-chrome-plugin.dat. It will give you a list of locations, so you can remove all the entries you don't need. Alternatively, you can update each instance, one-by-one to the latest version.

You don't need to run them from their home folder. If you want, you can remove these files from the home folder (%appdata%\FireShot), then run Chrome and reinstall the advanced features. P.S. Or make sure Chrome is not running and reinstall https://getfireshot.com/fireshot-install.exe
