Install FireShot PRO in osx

Question

I bought the PRO version. How do I activate it on a mac with OSX Mojave (Chome or Firefox).
The software to install only exists for windows, the chrome or firefox plugin does not have the option to enter the license code.

Hello. At the moment, FireShot Pro works only on Windows. We're working to deliver it on Macs.

I think, the best option would be making a refund to you - this doesn't mean, that the MacOS release is too far (by the way, we've just released FireShot Lite for Safari - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/full-page-screen-capture/id1541862561) - we just want to make sure you're happy with your FireShot (whether it's Lite or Pro).

Thank you Darrell. I just tested it on a fresh Big Sur install, and found no problems. When you launch the app, it asks you to enable FireShot, and you can press the blue button 'Open Safari preferences...'. Do you use this button and what do you see when you press it and the dialog opens?

Fine, looks like Safari has a lot of things to improve... One other question. Can you add the ability to save the files to a folder besides downloads (like in the Chrome and other extensions). Or maybe there is another way to do this. Thanks! ... including the Downloads API. I asked that question to the Safari developers, and they confirmed that the currently used way of saving the files was the only one available at the moment.

I read your comments before, but still aren't sure, if and how I can change the lite version on any browser on my mac to a pro version. Is it possible? Our Team bought 5 lifetime licenses and we want to use them now. You were provided with an activation link. Please use it to activate Pro on Mac.

Just to note, the product you purchased in 2020 was working on Windows. We support it, and we will do that as promised. The MacOS version is a new product based on a new Subscription model, so your license simply cannot be applied to it.

Darrel, if you purchased FireShot Pro after Jan 2022, you can activate FireShot Pro on MacOS with an activation link provided upon purchase. At the moment, you can participate in the Beta program (https://getfireshot.com/beta-pro.php) to get the Pro features for free. As soon as we implement the Subscriptions model, you'll need to subscribe to FireShot Pro to get the full support on MacOS devices (for the orders created before Jan 2022).

Darrell. There will be no lifetime licenses soon. Currently we still sell them, and this is a good chance to avoid subscription drawbacks when we stop selling lifetime licenses and switch to subscriptions. This license will keep working on MacOS.
