Hello everybody,
is it possible to control the screen capture using JS into a web page? What I'd really like, no matter if a licence is required, is to have a button into the web page that on click captures the current page and opens the FS editor. Possible? S. |

I think this is possible to implement. But FireShot should be installed anyway. Is it suitable? __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Yes. It is suitable.
BTW, is there a way to check if it is installed from javascript and in the negative case redirect the user to the download page? |

There's nothing from discussed in this topic yet. But I'm interested in integration with web-developers. It would be great for the beginning if you described this from your point of view - what do you need from FireShot (installation checking, ways of automation, etc).
Possibly I'll include some beta features in the next release. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Of course we can, but I'd like it to be a public discussion to attract the other persons and obtain as much feedback as possible.

I can contribute bringing what I would like toimplement and the operative context.
My group the the European Commission JRC works on systems to support post disaster and crises manager. We mantain and develop many web mapping web sites and our users, often managers or politicians, ask smart printing functionalities. I found the Fireshot extension doing everything they always ask - and in FF and IE - so I wondered whether it is possible to command the tool from inside the web page. Most of the time we have to hide the background and give them only one button that perform the right operation. For this I think it would be really useful to have the possibility of writing some javascript code to: - check whether the FS is installed; - lanch the installation procedure or the application according to the case Are you planning to deploy this functions in the pro or in the basic version? Thanks Simone |
