unable to switch back to basic free version from pro

Hi,
Your site says that the pro is a 30 day trial and once the trial ends, it will automatically switch to the basic version and we need to purchase the license to use the pro features.

Since I just use it for my personal use and that too very minimalistic, the extra features is not worth the amount that I need to spend for this. So I thought of not to upgrade to the pro, but unfortunately, after the 30 days, it is not switching back to the basic version. I tried un-installing it and installing it again, but it still complains that the trial is over and is asking to purchase the software.

Any solution please?

Plugin version: 0.83
OS type and version: Windows XP with service pack 3
version of IE: IE7
Steps to reproduce the bug: Install the firefox, upgrade to pro, after 30 days, it complains to purchase the product and I do not have any way or option to switch back to basic free version.

Thanks.

Same issue, more info.

Pro version in both IE 8 and FF 3.6.8
WIndows 7 64-bit

To reproduce, I uninstalled in both IE and FF. Restarted each, it was gone. Downloaded the free version, installed, still shows the Pro trial expired. Can't use it.

Fireshot 0.85
Win 7 Ultimate
Firefox 3.6.9

Uninstalled/disabled/reinstalled etc Fireshot addon.  Nothing seems to alleviate the problem.  Windows IE free version works for now but I hate using IE.  Please help!

That link doesn't work... gives fatal error message like the page was deleted.

Has anybody found a solution to this problem?

I am using Chrome too on Win7 64bit

Use Greenshot. It's free and independent of web browsers. It's will capture anything on your screen.

Hi,

Does Fireshot ever going to get back to us about this???

Plugin version             : FireShot 0.96
OS type and version        : MS Windows 7 SP1, english
Version of Firefox         : Firefox 10.0.2
Steps to reproduce the bug : Every time Fireshot is used

I'm have IE, Chrome and Firefox installed and fireshot is installed on all 3. Firefox is my main browser and only on firefox I keep getting the message " Fireshot Pro has expired, do you want to buy a license" and I don't want to buy but it never reverts back to the basic.

PLEASE help or fix this issue with firefox, seeing that it keeps working on the other 2 browsers.

it's not an issue, it's a feature. they know EXACTLY what to do in this situation, but they want you to pay the software. smile

The Pro version has expired and it is not reverting to the free version.

Close Firefox. Launch regedit.exe, find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Screenshot Studio for Firefox", change "fx_prokey" from yes to no. Launch Firefox again, and you should be good to go.

I tried this "change "fx_prokey" from yes to no" and still not working. The Pro version has expired and it is not reverting to the free version.

Will using programs like CCleaner be able us to install this program to the free version again?

Do this:
1. Remove the FireShot extension
2. Close your browser
3. Find FireShot in your C:\Users\xxxx\AppData/Roaming folder
4. Delete the entire folder
5. Open your browser
6. Reinstall FireShot Lite
