Love this addon, but with Fireshot 0.85, Win7/64, Firefox 3.6.8, if I "Edit capture," select an area, crop, then save, I get a warning about an unresponsive script:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/modules/NetworkPrioritizer.jsm:175 Stopping the script doesn't seem to hurt anything - everything still works. |

Unresponsive Script
Same issue as noted by Guest 16 Aug 2010 01:49 except I'm currently running Firefox 3.6.3 on WinXP Pro/32 SP3. Initiating a screen capture generates the same "unresponsive script" error, every time. I choose "continue" and everything seems to return to normal and run fine. No crashes, just an error that needs to be cleared. Problem only started recently, possibly following a recent update.(?) Fireshot ver: 0.85 OS: WinXP Pro/32 SP3, english Firefox ver: 3.6.3 Reproduce by: just clicking the nav-bar "S" button to take a screen capture. |

Possibly one of your addons changed the values of these variables: dom.max_script_run_time and dom.max_chrome_script_run_time.
Enter "about:config" in your address bar and try increasing the values of these variables (restart is required after modification). They were both set at their defaults, but dom.max_script_run_time was 10, while dom.max_chrome_script_run_time was 20. Setting both to 20 seems to have cured the problem - no more script error warning!
Thanks. Great product. |
