Keyboard shorts - deactivation or change key combinations ALT+S and ALT+O

Question

Please change keyboard shorts ALT+S and ALT+O or make deactivation options, because writing in other language (egz Polish) make impossible writing descriptions…. Still opens popup window to save or open…and making hard work. Most popular programs using CTRL+S or CTRL+O – to save or open documents...

I have been waiting for this options since two years...
Pleas do somthing with this!

Hi dominiku and thanks for updating your request. I checked it and could not find the key combinations in FireShot assigned to the combination Alt + key. The only exclusion for me is to use Alt + number (Alt + 1, ... Alt + 7).

Thank you! Yes, the update will be available for all supported browsers. Normally it takes 2 weeks to get it approved in Mozilla (shame!) and a couple of hours to deliver it via Google Web Store (for Chrome). I'll release it for Chrome today/tomorrow. Cheers!

In Polish we are using right Alt to write polish diacrytics — ą ć ę ł ń ó ś ź ż. So as you can imagine, knowing shortcuts i.e. e (export), s (save) and o (open) we can't just write using those diacritics. In Polish language shortcuts should be just different or configurable. Please think about fixing it. I bought 7 or more copies of FireShot for our organization, and we're not happy with this bug. If you needed any testing just let me know.

Hi! Ok, I will prepare you a small screencast showing the problem. Problably next week. My first guess is — there must be something that interprets Right Alt in polish keyboard settings as your Ctrl (left or right). The problem is not browser specific (both Chrome and Firefox have it) nor computer specific. (I've checked it with 6 coleegues). I will do some more tests. But I assure the problem exists

OK, I've got it. First check this out → https://youtu.be/otcg5op4nTw I've recorded what happens when I try to use three cominations for writing polish letters with diacritics: ę, ó and ś. Second: when I registered this small screencast for you I used keystrokes presentation function in Camtasia Studio, and finally I realised something unexpected for me. Those polish letters like: żźółąśęń are written using right Alt and letter. But the message sent to the system is Ctrl + Alt + letter. It means that this is the concept of right Alt. It's one key but in effect it's cmbination of Ctrl + Alt. Thats the reason your applications keystrokes with Ctrl just activate functions like export etc. I don't know solution for your software, but now you know the reason why we can't simply write those three polish letters. Hope it helps (me and you)

I confirm it works like a charm. Will you include this fix in next update release? Will it work on other browsers to? (I am sure that yes, the problem is system and language specific not browsers. Thank you very much for this fix. It will be much more faster to work with screenshots in polish language!
