Save to desktop - creating empty folder

I set the extension in Firefox to save to desktop, but it keeps creating an empty folder on my desktop, and named "desktop", and saves there. How can I get it to just save to desktop?
Version 0.98.98
OS Win 10 Ent
FF 84.0.1 (64-bit)
Reproduce: Start browser, open FireShot editor, create a shape, try to save, get newly created empty folder on desktop which keeps being recreated every time I delete it.

Can it have a setting to just remember the last saved-to location?

Is it FireShot Pro or Lite? How many items do you see in the main menu?

Well I accidentally updated to the pro version which seems free for a limited time, so I have way more options now. I had very few before. So I guess I had the lite version.
Now I see saving as pdf isn't going to be in the free version soon sad

Why? We do not have any plans on removing this functionality from the Free version.

This table shows the lite version with only three check marks, pdf not included: https://getfireshot.com/features.php

So, um, how can I get my captures to just save to desktop?
And, is pdf going to remain a free option?

You should open Chrome settings and re-assign the Downloads folder to Desktop. This is the only way because of the browser's limitation.

Of course.

I'm pretty sure Firefox has that option as well (Options -> search -> downloads).

Thanks JK, I think I had a brain fart when I answered that.
But in any case, I just checked and I don't even need to edit any settings. A few days ago FS updated, and the issue seems to have gone away!
