Hi,
I purchased Screenshot Studio, and hope you will update this program to have the same features as FireShot. I am especially keen for the 'Undo', 'Redo' and 'Insert Image' functions. Can you please confirm if you plan to update SSS? If so, can advise expected timing? Thanks John |

We are nearing 3 months, how is the coding going?
I am eagerly awaiting this update as 'Undo', 'Redo' and 'Insert Image' functions will make Screenshot Studio an excellent program. |

Do you still plan to complete the upgrade at sometime?
I am contemplating purchasing the software for other employees in the company, and hopeful of the improved functionality as seen in FireShot. |

Hi,
I tried to install it. 1) The installation is different to 1.1.3.4, thus it created a second instance of SSS, rather than overwriting 1.1.3.4, the shortcuts and configurations etc. 2) It only seems to run on the 1 login, or with administrator privileges, thus not working well for me. I get this error message; Access violation at address 004F59E5 in module 'SSS.DLL'. Read of address 000004A0. Please advise John |

Installation requires admin rights in case of using Program Files, but you can install it everywhere (even Flash disk).
Regarding AVs. I think, I've fixed them in 1.9.72 which is available for downloading. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

I made it 1 step further!!
1) I installed the program again with administrator privileges, however when I try to run as a different user (not admin), I get the following error. Couldn't create settings file C:\Program Files\Screenshot Studio\ss_settings.ini I know that 1.1.3.4 wrote separate config files for each login /user where they didn't need admin privileges. Can you fix this up with the newest code?? Thanks |

My turn
1.9.73 released. If "ss_settings.ini" cannot be created in working folder, it's created in %APPDATA%\Screenshot Studio. (I'm trying to preserve the ability to use Screenshot Studio at removeable USB drives) What do you think? __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Close
1) I had to manually create the %APPDATA%\Screenshot Studio folder, because the software couldn't. Now the ss_settings.ini has been created and works. I am sure there isn't a permission problem. Below is the error message that is created until you manually create the folder. https://easycaptures.com/5907238795 2) The licensing details from 1.1.3.4 are not accepted by 1.9.73, thus I am stuck in simple mode. This needs to be resolved. https://easycaptures.com/3634178990 These images were created in 1.1.3.4 John |

Thanks, I fixed the error with folder creation and 1.9.74 is available for downloading.
Normally 1.9.x users should purchase another license, but I'll provide you with it for free, as a big fan of SS __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Thanks |

I have two more things to report.
1) The setting 'Run program at system Startup' doesn't work. Again this is PC setting, which isn't needed when "trying to preserve the ability to use Screenshot Studio at removeable USB drives" as you described earlier. However, I find it very handy, and I also think it should work if selected. https://easycaptures.com/2501261064 2) The editing toolbar will display when you are capturing an image. i.e. before you have access to do any editing. It is a small inconvenience that the editing toolbar might get in your way while trying to capture. Thanks, if you are able to correct it. Thanks |

More.
I was flicking through the hints (i.e. >50), and found a problem. The Hint text was unreadable, then I got this error. https://easycaptures.com/7139464559 Works great, I'm just sharing any issues I find so you can try and resolve it. |

Thanks, John. I appreciate any feedback from you, but bug reports are appretiated even more!
1. The feature 'Run program at system Startup' works only if you have write access to the registry. It should be working fine for example if you have administrator access level. Of course, this feature is useless if the program executable is not available at the moment of startup (i.e. flash disk removed). 2. I'm afraid, I don't understand the problem you're trying to describe. Maybe any screenshots will help? 3. Yeah, there was a bug in the hints displaying. I think, the user should have opportunity to switch them off. I'll release an update in a couple of hours. Please use 'check for update' feature to be informed at the moment when it's available. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

1) It worked today. Strange as it didn't work on previous PC restarts.
2)I now understand the problem better, and it might be a 'as design' feature. When you have the option to add cursor as an object. https://easycaptures.com/3444960745 The Toolbar will display while capturing, and can get in the way. https://easycaptures.com/5862267472 i.e. The screen is darker as the image is captured. While I was capturing a rectangular window, the toolbar popped up and was in the way. I now understand the toolbar presence because it captures the cursor as a separate element... I think it gets in the way, even though it is present momentarily. Lucky I have two instances of SSS to share these possible bugs with you.... 3) Update works fine 4) Small handling issue. How do you reorder the numbers as shown below? https://easycaptures.com/4351708244 I know how to achieve it in 1.1.3.4, but it is now a different interface.... https://easycaptures.com/7838994441 Thanks |

5) When you capture in 1.9.75, does the editor have to open?
I know that in 1.1.3.4, the editor doesn't open by default and like it for making many captures in series. Can this be an option? |

1. Hmmm.
2. This is a bug, didn't see that previously. Floating toolbars can be switched off in options, but it will be OK in the next build. 3. Good 4. Yes, it definitely needs a dialog. 5. Yes, I'll implement such option. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

When do you think you will complete the next build and fix 2, 4, 5 as mentioned earlier?
6) When you select the icon in the System Tray, it should close if you click away from the menu like 1.1.3.4. Currently it will stay open until you select one of the SSS menu options which is annoying if you change your mind while taking a screenshot. Thanks John |

I don't know... Now I'm working under support of FireShot by Thunderbird, then there will be 0.75 release.
Possibly after that I'll concentrate on SS development. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Does SSS have a change log anywhere?
Did 1.9.76 incorporate any of the features discussed above? I think #2 is better, but #4, #5 and #6 are unresolved. |

Bump.
SSS doesn't have a changelog yet. #4, #5 and #6 are agreed, but still unresolved due to work under FireShot. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!
