I just installed the fireshot 6.5 chrome extension and tested it using a twitter page link.
It does not capture the entire web page. It captures maybe 15% only. I don't mind paying for the pro version BUT i need the software to capture the ENTIRE web page. I do not mind if it has to break the web page into separate file because of size. |

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, there's something we can improve in one of the next versions of FireShot - how to handle endless pages. The problem in the "endless page" is while you're scrolling the page, new content is being preloaded. This is the cause - the content is not loaded yet, so you get a blank area.
My suggestion will be to scroll the Twitter page down up to the content you want to capture, wait till it's loaded, then start FireShot. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

I have the same/similar issue.
I have installed the firefox extension just today ( version 0.98.98 ). I try to capture an entire webpage (a locally hosted html page) I have which is very long (~300,000px height). Fireshot appears to function, slowly scrolling the page bit by bit... but then at the end it shows the results page with a broken image. So I installed the "advanced" (pro) features plugin and tried again... now at the end it shows a "Please Wait" dialog saying "Processing" but the progress bar never moves (I've left it for a long time now and nothing happens). I was hoping this tool would work as I haven't found one yet that does. I'm struggling to figure out how to get page captures for an extremely long webpage. Similar to djcal I would be fine if the images were broken up instead of a single huge file. Note that in my case the page is static and there is no dynamic loading / infinite-scrolling going on. |

devlop, you might try saving it directly to PDF - and please be patient with the "Processing" message. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

I tried again and waited over 12 hours for "Processing" to complete without any progress indicated at all. Print to PDF also doesn't work.

devlop, does the fireshot-chrome-plugin process consume CPU when it's looking like hung up?
What's your PC config? P.S. Tested on my PC, it took 2 mins to capture the sample URL you provided, and a couple of minutes for creating the PDF: https://getfireshot.com/downloads/long_url.pdf __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Sorry for my late reply.
I ended up having an extension that I believe was screwing things up in Chrome, removing that extension fixed things. As for Firefox, I have no extensions so I'm not sure what was happening.. but I just tried again now and it seems to work ... anyway, all good now I guess. Thanks. |
