Preserve settings when installing updates

Question

Long time Fireshot Pro fan (and advocating it commercially within my organisation) but my one and only bugbear is that every update resets my settings (including header & footer formatting).
Is it possible for updates to preserve settings? (With the assumption that someone updating has got the software working the way they want and is trusting the update to improve the UX).

Plugin version: FireShot 0.98.97.2
OS type and version: Windows 10 1909
Version of browser: Chrome 79.0.3945.130

Hello. Thank you for your kind words. That's strange - does it happen everytime when you see the 'new' badge over the 'S' icon? Is your licensing data being wiped off too? Can you make an experiment please to check: - Does it happen when you restart the browser? - Does it happen when you manually enable-disable the addon? - Does it happen, if you remove and re-add it manually?
