I completely agree. After using my workaround the past few months, essentially it eliminates the wide white side borders on portrait orientation pdfs, by enlarging everything up to 1280. But that enlargement is not good, not good at all. And without the workaround, the end result is reduced in proportion to its width in relation to 1,280. And is greatly degraded when zoomed in enough to be legible. Which is even worse that using the workaround. All around, I hope that TPTB (the Powers that Be) will revert back to the original setup and remove the minimum width settings.
