ScreenShot Studio updated like FireShot??

Question

Hi, I purchased Screenshot Studio, and hope you will update this program to have the same features as FireShot. I am especially keen for the 'Undo', 'Redo' and 'Insert Image' functions. Can you please confirm if you plan to update SSS? If so, can advise expected timing? Thanks John

Installation requires admin rights in case of using Program Files, but you can install it everywhere (even Flash disk). Regarding AVs. I think, I've fixed them in 1.9.72 which is available for downloading.

My turn :) 1.9.73 released. If 'ss_settings.ini' cannot be created in working folder, it's created in %APPDATA%\Screenshot Studio. (I'm trying to preserve the ability to use Screenshot Studio at removeable USB drives) What do you think?

Thanks, I fixed the error with folder creation and 1.9.74 is available for downloading. Normally 1.9.x users should purchase another license, but I'll provide you with it for free, as a big fan of SS :)

Thanks, John. I appreciate any feedback from you, but bug reports are appretiated even more! :) 1. The feature 'Run program at system Startup' works only if you have write access to the registry. It should be working fine for example if you have administrator access level. Of course, this feature is useless if the program executable is not available at the moment of startup (i.e. flash disk removed). 2. I'm afraid, I don't understand the problem you're trying to describe. Maybe any screenshots will help? 3. Yeah, there was a bug in the hints displaying. I think, the user should have opportunity to switch them off. I'll release an update in a couple of hours. Please use 'check for update' feature to be informed at the moment when it's available.

John, once more, thank you for your contribution. Unfortunately I discovered, I cannot fix the problems at the moment, because the source files I have at my notebook are not synchronized with the trunk copy (eeer). So I'll start the research only in 7-10 days upon returning from Bangkok.

Wow, some progress!!!! I noticed that the toolbar displays funny which is an immediate concern https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/238/8110599108.jpg from before.... 1) Seems to be resolved 2) I get it now. 4) Looks this is incorporated in the new version. 5) I don't see the option yet. 6) Still a problem.

I successfully installed this as local admin, however it continues to display error messages if not run as an administrator. It will run, but I get error messages. https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/238/1768468634.jpg Lucky I kept SSS1.1.3.4 to help report problems...

No!!!!!!!!!!!! SSS1.9.81 does not appear to support a second monitor anymore. Can you please look into this??

Sorry, it does work on the second monitor, but behaves very differently than before. It now appears to take a complete screenshot of both monitor that will only display on one monitor. You then have to scroll through the image to select things like windows etc. Can you please look into that admin issue raised earlier? Thanks

SSS does not remember %n between sessions, thus I keep overwriting my previous work. This problem only started with the admin error message shown earlier. It would be good if Concatenate could automatically increment too!

The error only occurs when I'm not running as an administrator. It is fine when I'm running as administrator. The error occurs when I start Screenshot Studio and I guess it has trouble writing to some location. Windoz XP. I'm no real expert, and happy to answer more questions. Cheers

JK, Thanks you have solved all the issues that I have raised!! A) It would be nice if the Concatenate could automatically increment in file number. B) I mainly use Screenshot, but I have noticed that Fireshot 0.81 sometimes has a transparent Annotation Toolbar when on a black background similar to what I raised with Screenshot on 08/02/2010. I just increment the 'Concatenate' images manually, the software does not automate this.
