Hi, I have this situation:
Plugin version: 0.98.98 OS type and version: Windows 7 Professional SP1 Version of browser: Chrome 83.0.4103.116 Steps to reproduce the bug: 1) Open the browser and a webpage 2) Use FireShot to make a screenshot (it works) 3) Use it again (it doesn't work now: it is like it's scanning the page, but after that, the explorer window to save files or the editor don't show up) Webpage URL causing this problem: every webpage Browser console returns me nothing about the extension. |

I am suffering from the exact same issue. Can't use FireShot more than once. I have to close and reopen Chrome for Fireshot to work for multiple screenshots

Same problem. De-activating and re-activating plugin works once. But then stops again.

Guys, thank you for reporting, but this does not help since we aware of the problem. Hi,
I'm experiencing the same problem as all these people. I sent an email to contacts@support on 22 of June and have not received a reply yet. Fireshot is very useful when it works properly and I've never had a problem with support until this issue. I tried updating to the most recent version. I entered my original license number and now Fireshot tells me that my TRIAL has expired. Please got it sorted. Plugin Version: Fireshot 0_98_98 OS Type and Version: Windows 10 Home, x64, version 1903, OS build 18362.1016 Browser version: Firefox, 79.0 64-bit Steps to reproduce the bug: Open the browser, activate Fireshot to capture webpage and edit. It appears to work correctly. Close Fireshot editor. Try taking another screenshot with Fireshot and it appears to work but the editor window does not open. Now, after re-entering my license key, I am told that my trial period has ended. Webpage URL: happens on every webpage, even this getfireshot.com/sup/art2904.htm I've tried using Ctl+Shift+J to get a log but it doesn't work. Thanks. |

My problem is similar to others on this thread but more specific to Fireshot creating blank PDF files.
It goes thru all the motions but in the end, the PDF file it creates supposedly of the webpage is completely empty. This is true for Chrome, MS Edge and MS Explorer browsers. |

I just discovered this forum. I've had the same problem for MONTHS.
First use lets me crop and save a JPG image of a web page in the editor. The Fireshot editor closes after first use crop and save JPG image dialog. Later attempts to launch Fireshot just blink after I choose a screen capture option from Fireshot dropdown menu on Firefox toolbar. Fireshot editor doesn't open. No additional window icons appear on the taskbar. No error message or error pop-under. I can't get another JPG screenshot unless I close the browser and relaunch. Firefox 80.0.1 (as of today but this problem occurred in earlier versions) Windows 10 professional, English (10.0.18363) FireShot Version = fireshot-firefox-plugin-Jan 2020.exe |

| I have been experiencing the same issue on fireshot for months now. I can only take 1 screenshot and then have to close out of chrome to take another. On firefox, my screenshots do not save as pngs, jpgs or pdfs but instead save as an unopenable file. Please help. | ||

A thought--have you set the editor options? If not:
In Firefox: Right click on the web page to save In the popup menu, click "Take WebPage Screenshots Entirely - Fireshot" Then click options to get a new tab "FireShot Options" Click Editor Options to set various preferences. |

I wish. This problem has continued through many FireShot updates.
Only workaround I've found works in limited situations where the page has an image that can't save from a right click popup dialog. Save the web page complete with all HTML (file plus related folder). Then retrieve the image from the saved page folder. Obviously doesn't work for pages needing editing or cropping. |

Hello guys. Thank you for your reports. I'm sure the problem with running FireShot just once after startup will be solved in the next update - we could re-create that problem and find the cause of it.
At the moment we're interested in researching the situation, when FireShot saves files, that cannot be recognized neither as PDFs, nor as images. So how's the update coming along? It's nearly April 2021 and I still got the same problem, last update for the software is from summer last year. I could really need a working FireShot extension

No improvement here either. Several Firefox updates, several FireShot updates. Same 1-use only.
I found another workaround for some instances. Use Microsoft's built-in Snip & Sketch tool. It has cropping and a few other editing tools. Also lets you designate the saved image format. But the target image has to fit in 1 screen. |
