Filename saving

Fireshot 0.50, WinXP, latest Minefield

Currently, in order to save to disk a captured image using a specific filename ("MyLogo.jpg", for example), I have to click on the 'Untitled' part of the thumbnail in the sidebar, and then I'm prompted to "Specify a new name" in a pop-up dialog box. After doing this, I can hit "Save" and save my image with the chosen name.

It would make sense to be able to add or change the filename in the "Save" dialog, re-using the 'specified name', if there is one. If not, just transfer the title 'Untitled' over to the editable Filename box.

What do you think?

That works well in case of you save only one screenshot. But I would not want to insert a  multiline editor to setup all the filenames in case of saving of more than one screenshot.

Then you could just take the name from the 1st image, or insert "Untitled" in the Save box if there are multiple images.

The point is to make it efficient for the user. Right now it is not only not efficient, but it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to give my Save's a custom filename. And I have an IQ of 160!

Wow, congratulations on high IQ smile

Actually this requires a bit more deep look at it. As you mentioned, the problem really exists and I think I'll return back to it after finishing the other tasks. Thank you.

Looks like this is already fixed. Nice job here on name saving.
