Fireshot won't launch - error messages

Question

I've had Fireshot running smoothly for 3+ years. Then, when I rebooted Firefox one time, it stopped working. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing works - I always get this series of error windows, each with an OK button on it -

First error message:
FireShot needs XMLLITE.DLL for execution, please install it first

Second error message:
Failed to load SSS.dll. Possibly reinstall should help.

Final error message:
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [ISSSLauncher.openCapture]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://fireshot/content/fsoverlay.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 629" data: no]

FireShot 0.88
MS Windows XP Professional SP2, English
Firefox 4.0
To reproduce - attempt to launch FireShot in any fashion.
